Come meet us and help shape Jewish life in the Hill Country
Bring the whole family to our very first open house! It's a relaxed, family-friendly morning to meet other Jewish families in the area and share ideas for building more community close to home. We'd love to meet you.
Think of it as a Sunday morning with friends—good food, live music, and plenty of time for kids to play and families to connect. Meet other Jewish families, let your children make new friends, grab a fun name tag to spark conversation, and enjoy a short welcome from Rabbi Dan about Hill Country Jewish Connections, followed by a family blessing. We're building something special together, one family at a time, and we'd love for you to be part of it.
You'll get to meet Rabbi Dan Ain and Alana Joblin Ain, the husband-and-wife team behind Moontower Minyan who are bringing Jewish community to the Hill Country. Rabbi Dan is a rabbi ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary who has led communities in New York and San Francisco, and Alana is a writer, educator, and Moontower Minyan's president.
You'll also meet Jonathan Troen, our meditation leader, co-founder of Austin Yoga Tree and a leading voice on emotional intelligence and inner leadership, and David Rabinowicz, our musical director, who brings his Jewish and Latino roots to everything he plays.
Let us know you're coming and we'll send you the location and details prior to the event, located near the border of Austin and Dripping Springs. Our events feature private security for the safety and privacy of all.
