We’re a group of local families who want more Jewish Joy in our lives through friendships, connections, and events close to where we live.
Nearly 1 in 5 Jewish children in Greater Austin lives in the West/Hill Country area, including Dripping Springs, Bee Cave, and surrounding communities. Yet for many families out here, Jewish life still feels too far away—nearly half of those interested in Jewish programming say location gets in the way of participating.
Jewish community shouldn’t feel far away. Join us in building it where we live.

Hill Country Jewish Connections is a grassroots effort to build a warm, welcoming, and vibrant Jewish community for families throughout Dripping Springs, Bee Cave, Wimberley, and the greater Texas Hill Country.
We started with a simple idea: every Jewish family deserves a thriving Jewish community close to home. While much of the region's organized Jewish life is centered in North Austin, many families in the Hill Country have limited opportunities to meet other Jewish families, celebrate holidays together, and build lasting friendships.
Whether you've been part of the Jewish community your whole life, are part of an interfaith family, are reconnecting after years away, or are just beginning to explore Jewish life with your children, we hope you'll help us build this community together.

Hill Country Jewish Connections is our vision for a joyful Jewish community where families gather throughout the year to celebrate, learn, laugh, and grow together. Through music, creativity, meaningful traditions, and shared experiences, we hope to help families build lasting friendships and create Jewish memories they'll carry for a lifetime.

Rabbi Dan and his wife, Alana Ain, are the founders of Moontower Minyan, where they create joyful Jewish experiences that bring together a love of Torah, the arts, good music, and community.

We serve families across the Texas Hill Country — primarily Dripping Springs, Bee Cave, Wimberley, Westlake, and the Austin area. Events are held near the border of Dripping Springs and Austin.
Family Shabbat and Havdalah, holiday celebrations, live music, kids' activities, adult programming, and Torah study.
Hill Country Jewish Connections is a local grassroots effort, organized and funded by Dripping Springs mothers and community members.
